What people actually look at
The honest answer, which is less about polish than you would think.
- Whether you answer the question you were asked, rather than the one you prepared.
- Whether a specific example turns up. 'I led a migration' is a claim; 'we moved 40 services in six weeks and here is what broke' is evidence.
- How you describe work that went wrong. Nobody believes a career with no failures in it.
- Whether you are audible and in focus. That is the whole of the production bar.
