Using messages

Where a conversation lives, and how to keep track of which role it is about.

Messages about a specific application are attached to that application, so a conversation always carries the role it belongs to. Ticks show what has been delivered and read, and timestamps are clock times rather than vague relative ones.

Not every employer uses messages. A quiet thread is not a decision — the application's own status is the thing to read.
