Reading your fit score

What the ring on a job card is measuring, and what it is not.

Every job card carries a fit ring. It compares what the employer said the role needs against what your profile actually claims — the skills, the level, the shape of your experience.

What it is not

It is not a prediction that you will get the job, and no employer sees it as a ranking of you. It is a reading of two documents against each other, which means the fastest way to move it is to make your profile say the true things it currently leaves out.

A low fit is not a reason not to apply. It is a reason to read the posting again and check whether your CV is hiding something the employer asked for.
